The Primary, Secondary and Advanced Leaders Award for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics is open to all pupils and students aged between 5 and 19 years. The award is in two parts: A letter of application for the post of ' Leader for STEM'. The post is a one academic year appointment and to achieve the full award the application must outline how students are looking to act as an ambassador for the school or college. It should highlight how they are prepared to help others in STEM related activities, what activities they are involved in, would wish to be involved in and possible career paths they are considering. To complete the award students would interview a person who works in the field of science, technology, engineering, mathematics - this can be completed as part of a small team or as an individual. There are no limits on the number of interviews / certificates that can be applied for in any one year.
