The Primary, Secondary and Advanced Leaders Award for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a FREE award open to all between the ages of 5 and 19 years.

The Awards are now open for 2010/11. Register your school by downloading the registration form (from the downloads section of the website) and faxing to 01254 720650. Special Awards sponsored by NCETM, IMechE, WISE, Practical Action, Tomorrow's Engineers are available now with more to follow over the next few months. This year for the first time there is a teachers award sponsored by NCETM.

  The Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Science, Technology Engineering and Maths Leadership Skills can be obtained by pupils who extend their Leaders Award by planning and actively engaging in activities, understanding and applying Leadership skills. See the downloads section of the website.

   The award is in two parts firstly a letter of application is required from the student to become a leader for STEM activities in the school or college (see the guidance notes for each level) and is completed by forwarding us an interview with a scientist, technologist, engineer or mathematician. In an academic year many interviews can be conducted - there is no limit...the more questions asked the better! 

  Special Awards winners from 2009/10 will be notified and articles posted on the website during September.
