Royal Aeronautical Society Special Leaders Award for STEM - Only sky above us?

This an individual award; Primary (5-11), Secondary (11-16) and Advanced (17-19) levels.

The UK Aerospace industry is the second largest in the world with an annual worth of over 20bn. The UK has a history of major aerospace achievements and a bright future in the industry.
The world of aerospace is full of inspiring individuals including satellite scientists, former supersonic passenger jet pilots, world class engineers working on tomorrow’s fast jets, astronauts pioneering affordable space flight and many more.
The Royal Aeronautical Society is the one multidisciplinary professional institution dedicated to the global aerospace community.
Anybody can belong to the Society from a student to an industry professional. The Society is justifiably proud of its members' range of disciplines, which includes not just engineers and pilots, but also doctors, legal specialists, bankers, air traffic controllers, cabin crew, marketers, journalists, and so on.  Visit www.aerosociety.com for more details on joining this exciting institution and what it can offer you.
The Royal Aeronautical Society Special Leaders Award – as usual pupils will be required to send in an application to become a Leader for STEM for the school or college. To enter for this special award the interview that accompanies the application should have a specific dimension – this award is to interview  people who work in the aerospace industry about their careers, work and life to understand what inspires and motivates them.

The chosen interviews:

First, second and third place prizes will be award from each level. A selection of interviews will be published on The Royal Aeronautical Society, Leaders Award and related industry and education websites and publications.
Prizes:
Primary 1st place: £100, 2nd place: £75, 3rd place: £25
Secondary 1st place: £175, 2nd place: £75, 3rd place: £50
Advanced 1st place: £300, 2nd place: £125, 3rd place: £75
