Engeneration - Providing support today to the Engineers of tomorrow
Engeneration is a free-to-join scheme that aims to help foster and develop young people’s interests in engineering and technology, initially linked to the 14-19 Engineering Diploma and Specialist Engineering Schools. Members receive information about the world of engineering including access to our ‘Ask an Ambassador’ scheme: they have access to information about engineers, how companies work, careers advice and will have opportunities to attend engineering-focused events. Joining is simple and can be done by printing the application form on our website (www.engeneration.imeche.org); once they have joined members receive a welcome pack.
The Institution of Mechanical Engineers is the home of Mechanical Engineers in the UK. Established in 1847, we exist to support engineers through their careers. IMechE recognises the value of the Secondary Engineer scheme whose members can join Engeneration through a simplified process. Simply fill in the application form, without the teacher confirmation; in the personal statement section simply tell us that you hold a Secondary Leaders Award and when you recieved it.
